About Me
Ugo Baracco

Ugo Baracco was born in Padova in 1949, into a family deeply rooted into the arts.
In the early 70’s he moved to Venice where he began his career as an artist, painting landscapes and portraits.
Fascinated with the beauty of this enchanturies from all over the world, Baracco experimented with various techniques inetching, especially acquaforte and acquatinta, to try to capture the magical essence and atmosphere which is unique to Venice.

His development as an artist no only stems from the studies in specialized art courses, including those at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, but also from his exchange of experiences with various artists and their techniques during his frequent travels to other countries.
For many years he has been invited to exhibit his work at various European galleries and museums. He has also had numerous exhibitions in the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia and most recently in Russia, where he received twice the “Master Class Award” for graphic art.

His etchings and paintings can be found in many public and private collections worldwide, included the permanent collection at the Italian Embassy to the United Nations in New York.
